Description
Vitamin K testing is an important part of assessing an individual’s health. Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that helps to regulate blood clotting. It also helps to regulate calcium in the body, as well as providing other important nutritional functions. Vitamin K testing is used to measure an individual’s levels of vitamin K in the blood and to determine if there is an underlying medical condition affecting their capacity to absorb the vitamin K into their system. This type of testing can help identify deficiencies or existing health problems which may have been overlooked. In certain scenarios, such as during hormone replacement treatment, it can help assess an individual’s overall health and identify any additional vitamin K requirements before treatment begins or as a part of ongoing care.
