Description

Vitamin B7, also known as biotin, is an essential vitamin that plays a key role in the body’s metabolic activity. It helps to regulate the function of enzymes involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, which in turn helps to provide the body with energy. B7 is also important for the metabolism of fatty acids, which can help to reduce cholesterol levels. Low levels of B7 have been linked to an increase in blood glucose and insulin levels, which can cause an individual to experience fatigue, depression, and other symptoms. B7 testing is important when assessing an individual’s health because it can help to identify deficiencies and/or excess levels. It can also reveal any underlying conditions that may be responsible for the body’s failure to produce adequate B7 levels, such as abnormal kidney or liver function. Additionally, B7 testing can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of dietary or lifestyle changes, medications, or supplements that are being taken to enhance B7 levels.
