Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) is essential for energy production, metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, and for the production of red blood cells. Whole Blood tests measure the levels of Vitamin B2 in your blood, which can be used as an indicator of health and to detect Vitamin B2 deficiencies. A deficiency in Vitamin B2 can lead to health issues, such as anemia, fatigue, vision problems, and skin disorders.

Description

Vitamin B2, also known as Riboflavin, is an important vitamin for energy production and cell metabolism. Whole Blood tests measure the vitamin levels in your blood to check for any deficiencies. These tests may be used to assess an individual’s health to ensure that their vitamin B2 levels are within acceptable ranges. Vitamin B2 is important for many bodily functions, including energy production, metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, and creating red blood cells that carry oxygen and other nutrients to the body’s cells. If an individual has a vitamin B2 deficiency, it can lead to health problems like anemia, fatigue, vision problems, and skin disorders. The Hormone Replacement Clinic may be testing for Vitamin B2 to ensure that their patients have adequate levels of it in their blood and to diagnose any potential deficiencies.
