Description

A Complete Blood Count with Diff/plate (CBC) is a simple blood test that is used to assess an individual’s overall health. It helps provide a detailed picture of an individual’s health and is used to detect and diagnose any signs or symptoms of an underlying medical condition. The test measures the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in an individual’s blood. It also measures the densities of these cells, which helps to determine an individual’s overall health. It can detect diseases, infections, and other health problems, such as anemia, leukemia, and other blood-related diseases or conditions. Higher than normal amounts of red blood cells can indicate dehydration, while lower than normal counts can suggest anemia. Additionally, higher than normal levels of white blood cells can indicate an infection or inflammation, while lower than normal amounts can indicate a weakened immune system. Platelet counts are important when determining the risk of clotting or the risk of bleeding. The CBC test helps healthcare providers diagnose and treat conditions, and helps to monitor treatment progress.
