$0.00$38.00

Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) and Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA) tests are used to detect antinuclear antibodies which are proteins created by the body’s immune system to fight against its own cells and tissues. If present, these antibodies can indicate an autoimmune disorder, which can affect different parts of the body. These tests are important for diagnosing autoimmune disorders at an early stage and improving long-term health outcomes.

Description

Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) and Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA) tests are used to assess an individual’s health by looking for signs of an autoimmune disease. Antinuclear Antibodies are proteins made by the body’s immune system in response to an attack on normal tissue; they target and bind to specific proteins in a type of cell known as a nucleus. The IFA test involves using fluorescent-tagged antibodies to identify and measure levels of these antinuclear antibodies and determine whether they are present. The presence of antinuclear antibodies can be a sign of an autoimmune disorder, where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy cells and tissues. Autoimmune disorders can affect many areas of the body, including organs, muscles, joints, and the nervous system. These tests are important because a positive result can help diagnose autoimmune disorders at an early stage, allowing treatment to begin as soon as possible. Without them, autoimmune disorders may go undiagnosed for months or years, leading to more serious health complications. Having these tests can greatly improve an individual’s overall health and well-being.
