Description

The Adult Aldosterone and Supine tests are important diagnostic tests for measuring hormone levels in the body. Both of these tests are used to assess an individual’s health and to diagnose medical conditions related to hormone production.Adult Aldosterone tests measure the hormone aldosterone, which is produced by the adrenal glands and helps regulate the body’s electrolytes, namely sodium and potassium. Too much or too little aldosterone can cause a number of problems, including excessive thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, and high blood pressure. It is important to know if an individual has too much or too little aldosterone in their body, as too much can be dangerous and lead to serious medical problems.Supine tests measure the amount of various hormones, including cortisol, testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone, in the body. These hormones regulate many bodily processes and can have a major impact on an individual’s health if they are unbalanced. A too high or a too low level of any of these hormones can cause a variety of symptoms, ranging from fatigue and weight gain to infertility in both men and women. By measuring hormone levels, a doctor can better understand an individual’s health and determine the best course of treatment.
