Description

The Venous Thrombosis Hypercoagulability Panel (Blood Clotting Test) is a comprehensive group of tests that are used to look for certain abnormalities in a person’s blood clotting factors. These tests are used to help detect the possible presence of a disorder that could result in blood clots forming in the veins or arteries of a person, a condition known as venous thrombosis. This panel helps to identify if the individual is more likely to develop this condition or if they are at risk of having a blood clotting disorder. It also helps to assess the level of a person’s risk factor for a blood clotting disorder. This test is important because it can help to elucidate the cause of clotting abnormalities and can assess an individual’s risk of having a blood clotting disorder, which is important for determining the best course of treatment if clotting abnormalities are detected.
